1. Mad dogs and Englishmen. Stay out of the sun when it is at its strongest – usually between 10am and 4pm. A great excuse to have a long lunch and maybe a siesta, this advice is particularly important if you are holidaying abroad this summer.

6. Sunshades are not just for adults. Babies and childrens eyes are just as sensitive to the suns rays as adults.

7. Always carry water. It is easy to become quickly de-hydrated. Keep a flask of water at all times and take regular sips.
